Sensei Ahmer’s journey in Karate began as a quiet and reserved child, and he embarked on his martial arts path with the encouragement of his parents, particularly his late mother, who played a crucial role in pushing him through difficulties and inspiring him to persevere. Her support was instrumental in overcoming challenges along the way. His dedication paid off early, as he earned his black belt in 2001, becoming one of the organisations youngest to achieve this milestone.
In July 2016 Sensei Ahmer moved to Karate Academy UK and sought to broaden his knowledge by training under Sensei George Andrews and Sensei Paul Coleman. This further training led him to achieve the rank of Yondan (4th Dan) reflecting his deepening understanding and mastery of Karate.
Sensei Ahmer’s unwavering dedication to training with the Okinawa Goju Ryu Karate-Do Kyokai (OGKK) is exemplified by his rigorous and immersive training under esteemed Sensei’s such as Teruya, Muramatsu, Onaga, Kikugawa, Hirata, Minei, Takenishi, and Masuda.
