The youngest we take is 5 years old. Trial lessons are also offered to kids aged between 4.5 – 5 years old to assess if they are ready for training. Our classes are split out between the kids, teens and adults and therefore we have no upper age limit.

Our training fees are £120 for every 3 months. Our full payment terms start in the months of January, April, July & October. If you were to start part way through the term, the price would be pro-rata for the remaining lessons in that term.

You will need to wear loose clothing such as jogging bottoms (preferably black) and a t-shirt (preferable white) and bring a water bottle. There is no need for special footwear as we train barefoot.

This is dependent on a few variables such as the students age, attendance and amount of time spent self-training (independently practicing). However, on average the range to achieve this is between 5-7 years and is solely dependent on the student. Our aim is to develop each students character and skills and we are committed to helping each and everyone of our students reach the goal of getting to their Black Belt.

Karate has punches, kicks, throws, breaks and self-defence techniques all incorporated to make it a complete fighting/self-defence style. Karate also developes/improves; confidence, concentration, discipline and coordination.

Kata’s are a set of moving, blocking, punching, kicking and striking techniques. They help refine and improve body mechanics associated with the execution of techniques and are used to develop fighting spirit and rhythms. They simulate fighting multiple attackers to allow the practitioner to feel and experience the coordinated movements at full speed and full power without having to restrain the technique to avoid injuring one’s training partner.
